About OSG
On Site Group (OSG) was originally formed in 2001 by Cliff Bisch and Lee Erickson to develop training curriculum for business and industry in collaboration with college, state and federal agencies, with the goal of reducing employee turnover, increasing employee proficiency–levels, thereby providing more family wage jobs throughout the State of Oregon.
Today, OSG helps leaders in business and industry, large or small, located in urban or rural settings, to increase productivity and revenue with on–the–job training modules customized to fit specific needs. Each unit is designed for self–study and self–testing, with minimal supervision.
The outcomes reduce employee turnover. Employees are equipped with new or improved skill–sets that qualify them for wage increases based on measurable standards of proficiency. With OSG training materials, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel every time you train a new employee or cross–train your staff. Often, the employee can kick–start a new skill in less than an hour, with higher retention and a greater level of confidence.
OSG also consults with clients to assist with creative direction, marketing strategies, website and community development. If you are located in the greater Eugene area, contact us for a free on-site, one-hour consultation. If out of area, we are happy to consult with you by phone to assess your needs before retaining our services.
If you would like to safely use woodworking power tools at home or at work, you can download free curriculum materials from the Department of Community College and Workforce Development – Workforce Partners site. The available materials are: “Wood Products/Manufacturing Consortium – COCC”. There you will find twenty-two (22) different skills to choose from under the “Curriculum Related to Grant – Curriculum Materials” section. Note: After you download a file and save it to a folder on your computer, it requires a program like ‘WinZip’ to unzip and open.
